Jury
Position description
TONDO – Taranto CirTech officially opens the selection process for a qualified jury to identify local teams, startups, and projects for participation in a development and validation program focused on innovative solutions with high environmental and social impact in the Taranto area.
Taranto CirTech is an acceleration program dedicated to the transition toward a circular and regenerative economy in Southern Italy. Promoted by Tondo with the support of public institutions, businesses, and local stakeholders, the project aims to develop skills, generate sustainable entrepreneurial ideas, and strengthen the innovation ecosystem in Taranto.
Role of the Jury
The jury will play a key role in two phases of the program:
Initial project selection
July 2025
After the closure of the call4ideas, jurors will evaluate the applications received based on defined criteria, including:
– Level of Innovation
– Technical feasibility
– Environmental and social impact
– Alignment with circular economy principles
– Team motivation and competencies
Final project evaluation
Semptember 2025
During the final event, the jury will evaluate the projects developed throughout the program based on:
– Project evolution and growth
– Response to local challenges
– Economic and environmental sustainability
– Scalability potential
Activities will take place in a hybrid format, with online sessions and opportunities for in-person meetings in Taranto.
Thanks to its expert and interdisciplinary contribution, the jury will be crucial in ensuring the quality, consistency, and impact of the selected solutions.
Who we are looking for
We are primarily looking for entrepreneurs and investors, but we also welcome researchers, academics, and professionals with at least 7 years of relevant experience in the following areas:
We are looking for individuals motivated to contribute to the regeneration of the Taranto area and Southern Italy, capable of clearly transferring knowledge, working in interdisciplinary teams, and supporting emerging entrepreneurial initiatives with a collaborative spirit and systemic vision.
Contract duration and conditions
Participation is structured into two operational phases:
July 2025 – Initial selection (5 hours)
– Individual evaluation of applications: up to 4 hours
– Collective meeting for final discussion: 1 hour
September 2025 – Final evaluation (8–10 hours depending on the number of projects)
– Individual evaluation of projects: up to 1 hour per project
– Collective meeting for final discussion and selection of winners: up to 2 hours
Additional hours may be agreed upon based on specific needs.
Contract: occasional collaboration or VAT-registered consultancy (collaborazione occasionale or prestazione con Partita IVA), depending on the candidate’s profile
Compensation: €70 gross per hour (VAT included)
Association description
Tondo supports analyses, studies, scientific research, projects, pilot initiatives, and operational activities aimed at safeguarding and improving environmental conditions, as well as promoting the wise and rational use of natural resources, in line with the principles of the Circular Economy.
Tondo aims to accelerate the transition toward a Circular Economy by driving the shift of the economic system toward one that is regenerative and restorative. The association’s main objectives are:
• To foster the further development of entrepreneurial and innovative activities within the circular economy by generating and sharing knowledge;
• To create a broad and diverse ecosystem actively engaged in various areas of the circular economy;
• To experiment with new and innovative solutions through its network of partners by implementing specific projects.
