Position description

Tondo is looking for a Communication Specialist to join the Taranto CirTech project on a full-time, fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project communications, contributing to the operational coordination of activities, monitoring project progress and ensuring that deadlines, objectives and budgets are met.

The candidate will work closely with the internal team and stakeholders involved, handling institutional and social communication, documentation, and general support for the implementation of the activities outlined in the call for proposals. We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, proven experience in communicating funded projects, and a strong awareness of sustainability and innovation issues.

Contract duration and conditions: fixed-term contract for approximately two months, full-time. Remuneration will be linked to seniority and previous experience. The working mode will be hybrid.

What you will do:

• You will support the institutional communication of the Taranto CirTech project, helping to define a clear and effective communication strategy consistent with the values of the circular economy;
• You will be responsible for drafting content for social media channels, newsletters, press releases and other communication materials, highlighting the results and impact of the project;
• You will collaborate with partners and stakeholders to ensure an effective and coordinated flow of information between all parties involved;
• You will be responsible for supporting the promotion of events, workshops and public initiatives related to the project, as well as documenting them;
• You will provide support in preparing the project documentation and reports required by the call for proposals, in coordination with the administrative and project team.

Required/preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Communication or related field;
• At least 1-2 years of experience in the field of communication, preferably in the non-profit sector;
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;
• Familiarity with Excel and the entire Office suite, administrative management tools and budgeting software;
• Excellent writing, interpersonal and summarising skills;

Description of the association

Tondo supports analyses, studies, scientific research, planning, experimentation, and operational activities related to interventions and services aimed at safeguarding and improving the conditions of the environment, and the prudent and rational use of natural resources, following the principles of the Circular Economy.

Tondo wants to accelerate the transition towards the Circular Economy, favouring the change of the economic system towards one that is regenerative and restorative. The association’s main aims are:

• To foster the further development of entrepreneurial and innovative activities within the Circular Economy by developing and spreading knowledge;
• To create a broad and heterogeneous ecosystem actively operating in the different areas of the circular economy;
• Experiment with new and innovative solutions through its network of partners by implementing specific projects.
