Project Manager
Position description
Tondo is looking for a Project Manager to join the Taranto CirTech project. The selected candidate will be hired under a fixed-term employment or collaboration contract, either part-time or full-time, and will support the overall management of the project by coordinating operational activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with timelines, objectives, and budget constraints.
Specifically, the role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising ongoing project activities in close collaboration with the internal team and relevant stakeholders. The Project Manager will ensure that all phases of the project are aligned with the requirements of the funding call and current regulations.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, along with solid experience—at least three to four years—in managing EU-funded projects, particularly in the public or non-profit sector.
Contract duration and conditions: Fixed-term employment or collaboration contract for a duration of 5–6 months, either full-time or part-time. Remuneration will be based on the candidate’s level of seniority and previous experience. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement.
What will you do:
• Coordinate the implementation of the Taranto CirTech project, ensuring that activities progress according to objectives, timelines, and available resources;
• Plan the project phases, monitor their progress, and ensure the effective involvement of the team, partners, and stakeholders;
• Collaborate with the team to collect and organize data and materials useful for impact monitoring and project communication;
• Oversee the preparation of project documentation and reports required by the funding call, with the support of the administrative team;
• Manage relationships with local and institutional partners, fostering synergies and collaboration opportunities;
• Contribute to the strategic development of the project, including through the identification and analysis of new funding opportunities;
• Interfacing with consultants, auditors and partners to ensure administrative correctness of documentation.

Required / preferred qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Economics, Administration, Political Science or related;
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in the world of reporting on calls and funded projects (public or private);
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;
• Familiarity with Excel, administrative management tools and budgeting software;
• Proficient in Microsoft or Mac OS applications;
• Excellent written, interpersonal and summarising skills.

Tondo supports analyses, studies, scientific research, planning, experimentation, and operational activities related to interventions and services aimed at safeguarding and improving the conditions of the environment, and the prudent and rational use of natural resources, following the principles of the Circular Economy.
Tondo wants to accelerate the transition towards the Circular Economy, favouring the change of the economic system towards one that is regenerative and restorative. The association’s main aims are:
• To foster the further development of entrepreneurial and innovative activities within the Circular Economy by developing and spreading knowledge;
• To create a broad and heterogeneous ecosystem actively operating in the different areas of the circular economy;
• Experiment with new and innovative solutions through its network of partners by implementing specific projects.
