Position description

Tondo is looking for an Innovation Designer. The resource, employed in collaboration or fixed-term, part-time or full-time contract, will provide support in various activities related to the development and management of innovative projects in the fields of sustainability, circular economy and technological innovation.

Specifically, the Innovation Designer will be responsible for developing, coordinating and monitoring innovation projects, facilitating collaboration between stakeholders, identifying funding opportunities and strategic partnerships operating within the Taranto CirTech project. The Innovation Designer should be a person who is passionate about the world of sustainability, innovation and the circular economy and has previous experience in the world of business innovation, strategic consultancy or European projects of at least three to four years.

Contract duration and conditions: collaboration or fixed-term, with the possibility of part-time or full-time, for 5-6 months. Remuneration will be linked to the level of seniority and previous experience. The working modality will be hybrid.

What you will do:

• Support the implementation of the Taranto CircTech project;
• Manage relations with key public and private project partners, also at the international level;
• Monitor project progress and draft progress reports;
• Defining the Call4Ideas and the accompanying programme for start-ups;
• Organising events and conferences, representing Tondo as a reference point on the topic of the circular economy.

Required/preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Management Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related;
• Experience in the world of innovation, engineering or strategic consulting of at least 3-4 years;
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;
• High energy and a strong desire to learn and be proactive;
• Proficient in Microsoft or Mac OS applications;
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

Description of the association

Tondo supports analyses, studies, scientific research, planning, experimentation, and operational activities related to interventions and services aimed at safeguarding and improving the conditions of the environment, and the prudent and rational use of natural resources, following the principles of the Circular Economy.

Tondo wants to accelerate the transition towards the Circular Economy, favouring the change of the economic system towards one that is regenerative and restorative. The association’s main aims are:

• To foster the further development of entrepreneurial and innovative activities within the Circular Economy by developing and spreading knowledge;
• To create a broad and heterogeneous ecosystem actively operating in the different areas of the circular economy;
• Experiment with new and innovative solutions through its network of partners by implementing specific projects.
