Position description

Tondo is seeking a Systemic Designer. The position will be offered under a full-time apprenticeship contract and will contribute to the development and management of innovative projects in the fields of sustainability, circular economy, and technological innovation.

The Systemic Designer will play a key role within the Taranto CirTech project, designing, coordinating, and monitoring high-impact systemic initiatives; facilitating interaction between public and private stakeholders; identifying funding opportunities; and activating strategic partnerships. We are looking for a candidate with solid experience (at least 3–4 years) in innovation, strategic consulting, or European project design, who is passionate about sustainability and has a systemic vision of transformation processes.

Contract duration and conditions: apprenticeship contract, full-time. Compensation will be based on seniority and previous experience. The role will follow a hybrid work model.

What you will do:

• Support the implementation of the Taranto CirTech project
• Manage relationships with key national and international partners
• Monitor the progress of project activities and prepare detailed reports
• Contribute to the design of the Call4Ideas and the incubation program for selected startups
• Organize events, conferences, and outreach activities, representing Tondo as a key reference point on circular economy topics

Required/preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Management Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related fields
• At least 3–4 years of experience in innovation, project design, or strategic consulting
• Excellent spoken and written English skills
• High energy and a strong desire to learn and take initiative
• Proficiency in Microsoft or Mac OS applications, as well as the Adobe suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Description of the association

Tondo supports analyses, studies, scientific research, planning, experimentation, and operational activities related to interventions and services aimed at safeguarding and improving the conditions of the environment, and the prudent and rational use of natural resources, following the principles of the Circular Economy.

Tondo wants to accelerate the transition towards the Circular Economy, favouring the change of the economic system towards one that is regenerative and restorative. The association’s main aims are:

• To foster the further development of entrepreneurial and innovative activities within the Circular Economy by developing and spreading knowledge;
• To create a broad and heterogeneous ecosystem actively operating in the different areas of the circular economy;
• Experiment with new and innovative solutions through its network of partners by implementing specific projects.
