Raffaele Nacchiero
Raffaele Nacchero is the CEO of AraBat, a cleantech startup focused on lithium battery recycling. AraBat’s “AraMet” technology uses organic acids and plant waste to recover critical raw materials with reduced environmental impact. The company has received awards such as the Premio Nazionale dell’Innovazione 2022 (Cleantech & Energy) and ENI Joule for Entrepreneurship 2022 and has been listed by StartUs Insights among notable battery remanufacturing startups.
Raffaele Nacchero is pursuing a PhD in Mechanical and Management Engineering at Politecnico di Bari, specializing in supply chain management, sustainability, and the circular economy. Holding an MSc in Management Engineering (110/110 cum laude) from the same institution, he has also studied in Spain and France. Research includes publications in peer-reviewed journals.
In addition to academic and entrepreneurial activities, he has authored two books and leads "Associazione NemicoRe," a non-profit organization focused on cultural and sustainability projects. In 2024, he was included in Forbes Italy’s Top 100 Under 30 list.
